Alright, so you're new. First time posting? Okay. These are some REAL basic rules to start with. More will probably be added as time goes on, so it might be wise to check this sticky at least once a month or so. Feel free to PM mods anytime with questions. We're here to help! Anyway, here you are:

1 - Leave personal drama out of the forum. Debates and discussions are allowed, but don't get to insulting each other. Breaking up arguments is not the job of Moderators or Administrators - DO NOT make anyone waste time breaking up your fights. The term is "moderator", not "mediator". DO NOT bring up your issues publicly on this forum (as in, don't threaten to harm yourself or others, do not glorify eating disorders, etc.) If an argument ensues and you are asked to drop the issue and fight through PMs or messaging programs where we can't see you, and you do not comply, the topic WILL BE CLOSED.

2 - Do NOT harass newbies (new users). Everyone was new at some point. If you think someone is acting stupid, point them to a set of rules, explain to them that what they're doing is wrong, or REPORT IT! n00bs are subject to harassment by veteran members.

3 - Don't complain about the moderators or the administrator here or anywhere on the forum. If you want to whine, keep it on your personal e-mails or messaging accounts (I don't mean PMs).

4 - Please do not ask people for personal information such as real names, address, phone number, etc. Be smart, people. Don't give this information out either, we want the forum to be a safe place. smile Also, in your profile DO NOT give your REAL first AND last name. First names ONLY, please.

5 - Please make an effort to keep your threads posted in the correct topic. They exist for a reason. Off topic posts will be considered spam (see rule 7).

6 - ASK before RPing any character from Yu-Gi-Oh. Do not just make an account and start posting as that person, PLEASE ask first. You must ask before being dubbed official. Also, for new people: please try to check and make sure the character you are requesting is not already taken. For example, don't ask to RP as Kaiba... >_>

7 - Do not put up spam posts, such as repeated posts, "..........", or bumps (in relation to bumping: if the thread is not on the first page of a section, don't post in it. That's a bump) As mentioned, do not post offtopic, random, or redundant posts. Do not double post. This is also spam. Here is also a definition about SPAM: Freakishly short Posts ,Pointless Posts not relating to topic, Re-ask same question (not check other pages on topic), and Conversational Posts.

8 - Links to direct downloads of Illegal And Copyrighted Material are PROHIBITED.
Some Examples are:
-1.Torrents
-2.P2P Programs
-3.Direct Links For Downloading **** or related material.

9 - Do not text duel on this forum.

10 - We don't generally care if you swear or cuss, but if it becomes excessive a moderator will speak to you about it. Also, DO NOT use racial slurs - they are offensive and inappropriate.


Punishments for Breaking any of these Rules

1st offense: Warning/Noob status/Ban 3 Days
2nd Offense : 1-2 Weeks ban (Insulting mod/admin is automatic 2 weeks. Repeated offenses)
3rd Offense: 1 Month ban (repeated offenses applied by Admins)
4th Offense: 3 Month ban (applied by Admins)


(repeat this procces every time they return)
Go to the next offense
if they are at the 4th Offense re-apply it
4th Offense: 3 Month ban (applied by Admins)


For now, that's all everybody. Mods reserve the right to change the rules at any time and to administer punishment for the breech of rules. Punishment is also subject to vary between mods, the admin, time of day, and our mood at that particular moment in time. Thank you.
